I have been taking Tramadol when the pain in my neck is at its worst, mainly night time, but i suffer with ittchiness this keeps me awake all night, i itch and scratch all night, i dont see anything on side effects re this, any one on here suffer this prob? its a sham as the tramadol work great on the pain, but i am finding it so difficult to sleep, the itch starts to wear off when its time to get up and i am exausted the rest off the day.
I will make app with the gp to see if i can change to something else, its a shame when something works, but causes other probs.

Hi Anne-Marie,
I have this problem with tramadol too, and co-dydramol. Piriton works to stop the itching, or your GP should be able to prescribe something else.

Yep had the dreams also. more like nightmares, Dreamed my foot was cut open and had healed that way, found myself checking it when i awoke.
Things we have to deal with! so much going on its pain or the side effects i guess? lol lol gotta go off to work.

hi all,
i couldn't take Tramadol as i felt totally spaced out on it,
and didn't like the feeling i couldn't drive.
trial and error i guess.

Hi,Like Suzanne,I can't take Tramadol. When I first tried taking it I too felt spaced out and giddy.Even reducing the dose didn't help. When I mentioned it to my GP he said many people experience a spaced out feeling when taking it yet others can take it with no probs at all. Brenda.x

Hi - I take tramadol when I absolutely have to, but it does make me feel sick so I try to avoid it. Itching can also be part and parcel of RA or can be caused by the drugs. I take 3 antihistamines each day to cope with the itches and they work - which is great!

Hi, I found I was really spaced with tramadol too and felt really sick with them. I take co-codamol for the pain. Know what you mean about the itching! I know it can be a sign of amemia as well but do suffer from it myself sometimes and it totally drives me mad!!!

Hi
I was prescribed tramadol last week for the pain, only took it for two days, didn't agree with me, vomiting and totally spaced out.
Really hope you find something else that agrees with you.
